I finally found beautiful rings that makes “The IJORERE cut list”. So done with cliche cuts and rings, I’ve always figured if I were to ever do it again, I would definitely custom make my wedding ring and band. But not till this very morning did I find something so beautiful to my eyes delight…I just had to share it with my Ijorere reader! Check out Anne Sportun’s Experimental Jewellery.
What is so beautiful and amazing about her work are the organic circular forms of her designs… in a way vernacular, which of course remains me of African art work and architecture. Who would have thought experimenting as a little girl with jewelry would turn out to be a wedding business success!
Enjoy the visuals and tell me what you think. I saved the very best for last! ;~)

I don’t even know where to start, how to articulate my thoughts as I study and fixate on her images. This Artist’s play on bold colors, feminism, a world between photography & fine art. It is as though each woman would like to tell me something, show me something, is thinking or in thought of something, I would like to know…she makes me very curious. As I get over this new fix…perhaps I’ll have more to say but for now…let’s admire and see in the eyes of this young artist named, Dawn Okoro

Nothing is as pleasurable to my eyes till I see some cool African Art & Design. I like the unusual, Hate the cliché…and sometimes when I feel as though I have seen it all…here comes THE SEEK PROJECT. This is NOT cliché just real cool African Designs. Their art displays a cool mix of bold graffiti & edgy African art.
I just LOVE seeing Africans like myself doing all the different & creative things we do and doing it well! Check out THE SEEK PROJECT at http://www.seekproject.com/

With just a quick moment to blog…yes, I know, I know…it has been awhile, so unlike me… but I have been quite busy hand making wedding invitations for my June & July Brides. Anyway here are truly unique designs of what I would like to call Architectural place cards with an Asian Flair. My friend Maria Vera N., whom also works as an Architect (great designer, I might add!) designed and hand made them for her fall wedding. IJORERE can re-create these same unique designs for you!

I wanted to write a little on the beautiful fabric I love experimenting with when designing and hand creating your wedding invitations. But then I figured, why write about it? I found this one from T & T fashions on Facebook
