The Name

It had to honor my Nigerian heritage as well as speak to my creative vision and design point-of-view. The name also had to be applicable to any and every grand event. My mother suggested a Nigerian name that I believe accomplishes all of this: IJORERE. Pronounced “E-Jaw-Ray-Ray,” like other Nigerian names, there’s a meaning behind it that is both profound and beautiful. Though it’s not an English word and may take a moment to learn, it’s actually fun to say and it serves to celebrate my clients’ special occasions. Ijorere reflects what your invitations are intended for, A Day that is Grand. “Ijo” means “day” and “Rere” means “grand.”
